His Majesty meets with Jordanian students in Korea

Seoul -His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday met with a number of Jordanian students studying at Korean institutes and universities during a reception held by the Jordanian Embassy in Seoul.

The King, who was accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, voiced pride in the students and in their role in promoting Jordan's image and extending bridges of understanding and dialogue between the Jordanian and Korean peoples.

His Majesty urged the students to complete their educational process to benefit from their degrees and expertise to develop the country's institutions.

Some of those were dispatched by the Jordan Atomic Energy Agency to be trained as nuclear engineers and technicians in reactor operation and maintenance, radioisotope production, and radiation safety. 

The King urged the staff to benefit from the Korean expertise in the nuclear energy field to operate the nuclear reactor which was established at the Jordan University of Science and Technology.

At the reception, which was attended by Their Royal Highnesses Princess Raya bint Al Hussein, Prince Rashed bin Al Hassan and Prince Zeid bin Raad, the King checked on conditions of the students.

His Majesty also met with youth and students, who are accompanying the King on his visit to Seoul, including the Jordan Taekwondo team which qualified for  the London Olympic Games which will be held in August as well as for the Asian Championship which will be held in Vietnam next May.

King Abdullah II highlighted the role of youth in Jordan's reform and development process and called for giving more attention and care to the youth to enable them to shoulder their responsibilities towards the country.

In statements to Jordan News Agency, Petra,  a number of students voiced pride in the King's leadership and in his efforts to secure a better future for all Jordanians.
