HRH Crown Prince launches Qusai Initiative to promote safety and awareness for trainers and athletes

Amman - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II launched the "Qusai Initiative" to update the readiness of sports paramedics and those who treat any injured athletes, besides developing programs related to sports therapy.

His Highness was briefed during a meeting about measures taken by the preparatory committee to put in place the sports therapy strategy, "Qusai Initiative," and its recommendations to implement this strategy in sport fields and training centres.

The Crown Prince stressed his support to the initiative to enable it to achieve its objectives.

Following the death of Al Faisali Club's player Qusai Khawaldeh during his team’s match with Al Jazeera last November, the Crown Prince called for putting in place a strategy to improve the performance of sports therapists and further develop their skills in this field.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the ministries of health and education, the Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Academy of Civil Protection, the Royal Medical Services, the Civil Defence Department, the Jordanian Olympics Committee, the Higher Council for Youth, Military Sports Federation and the Hashemite University.

The "Qusai Initiative" focuses on the preventive measures and enhancing awareness among the sports therapists and athletes alike, and limit injuries due to any incidents on the field involving athletes.
