The Qusai Initiative’s mission is to create a staff of qualified and proficient athletic trainers capable of treating sports injuries suffered by athletes during sporting events.
This mission will be carried out on two parallel paths, through the enrolment of all athletic trainers in advanced evidence based courses and by establishing medical service centers in all sports facilities in ِthe Kingdom.
Qualify staff so that they are capable of treating any injury players might have, God forbids, while participating in sports exercises and tournaments. For this purpose, sports therapists will undertake advanced courses in sports paramedics and first aid, whereas medical centers in cities and sport complexes across Jordan will be established to provide treatment services.
Upgrade the readiness quotient of sports paramedics to improve their experiences, disseminate the culture of health education among athletes based on international criteria and adopt advanced treatment techniques that rely on proved medical evidence.
- Minimize medical treatment mistakes that could jeopardize the life of players in case of injuries.
- Prepare survey studies on sports therapists and ensure they have the required scientific qualification for the job.
- Have a mechanism in place to ensure that players in clubs are in good health conditions before and during the match.
- Raise athletes’ awareness through disseminating the culture of health education.
- Develop the necessary infrastructure to support sports paramedics across Jordan.
- Qualify specialized staff in the field of sports paramedics through organizing advanced courses in this field.
- Develop programs to qualify students to obtain a diploma or a BA degree in sports paramedics.
- Qualify staff at the Ministry of Education who would be responsible for supervising sports classes and activities in all of the Ministry’s schools.
- Raise awareness around health education and first aid principles in areas that are less fortunate in Jordan, especially that they witness many sports activities.
- Enact a law that states that all sports federations and clubs should have a sports therapist.
- Follow up on the issuance of the anti-doping code in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the year 2010, which was formulated by the anti-doping committee.
