Crown Prince visits Aqaba, calls for implementing projects, provide job opportunities

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, on Wednesday, stressed the importance of launching further investments in the southern port of Aqaba, in order to provide more job opportunities for the people of Aqaba in particular, and improve their lives.

During a visit to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), where he met with its Chief Commissioner and members of the Board of Commissioners, Prince Al Hussein said such projects will enhance the tourist status of Aqaba and stimulate the economic activities in the city and that will enable the local community and young people to engage in the development process.

The Crown Prince was briefed from Chief Commissioner Nasser Shraideh, on ASEZA's vision, priorities and achievements, in providing suitable legislative and regulatory environment for businesses, developing ports and transportation systems, supporting infrastructure investment projects, tourism services, attracting many industrial and logistics investments and developing municipal, social, health and education services.

Prince Al Hussein checked on the Aqaba Entertainment Centre Project, one of the ASEZA's tourism projects, which came as an implementation of the Royal vision to meet the tourism sector's needs in the region and ensure a distinguished level of quality service to the local community, visitors and tourists of Aqaba.

The Crown Prince watched a film that highlighted the project facilities and stages of implementation.
