Crown Prince joins group of orphans for iftar
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II joined a group of orphans for iftar on Wednesday, during a celebration held by the Zakat Fund, in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, on the occasion of World Orphans Day, marked on 15 Ramadan according to the Hijri lunar calendar.
Speaking at the iftar, attended by 250 orphans sponsored by the Zakat Fund, Crown Prince Al Hussein said he was happy to join the children for iftar, stressing the importance of supporting and empowering orphans.
His Royal Highness spoke to the children during iftar to check on them and the level of services they receive.
Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, Awqaf Minister Abdul Nasser Abul Basal, and a number of Zakat Fund board members attended the iftar.
